Here’s How You Can Quickly Turn Your Ideas into the
Kinds of Stories that Make You a Speaker in High Demand
Fellow Storyteller:

Do you consider yourself a great storyteller? Do you secretly wish you were a better at creating and delivering mesmerizing stories? As Mark Brown says,
“You have a story to tell and someone needs to hear it.”
The question is, will you tell it well enough to impact lives with your story? Anyone can tell a story. In fact, everyone tells stories every day. We use stories all day long in conversations, email, and especially as presenters on stage. Stories are the heart of what we do when we are on stage. You may have heard Bill Gove’s saying that speaking is just telling a story and making a point, then telling another story and making another point.
Here is the problem.
Everyone thinks they are a great storyteller or at least a good enough one. Whether we like it or not, our audience judges the quality of our presentation by the quality of our stories. If we tell average stories, we are considered an average speaker. If we tell great stories, we are considered a great speaker.
After being a speaker for seven years, I was getting paid so I thought I was good enough, but I wondered why I wasn’t getting paid more. After two decades on the platform, I’ve learned this: “80% of your paid speeches will come from referrals of people who have seen you speak.” It’s true. I had thought the problem was my marketing. I had no idea it was my approach to storytelling. You see I was lusting after that story that would make my career and launch me into the big bucks. I thought that if I could just find that story I would be set. Then one of my mentors, Dave Fitzgerald, said to me, “Darren, stop trying to find that great story. Instead, take the stories you already have and make them so good someone will pay to hear them.” Wow. That was possibly the best advice I ever got. That was a new perspective.
After years of trial and error at telling my stories and trying to make them better, I still struggled. My stories were good, but not great. Honestly, I had no idea what to cut or what I could do to make them more engaging. In fact, in 2001 I was still working my day job, speaking as often as I could, and marketing myself every waking hour. The one thing I wasn’t doing was improving my stories. I took Dave’s advice and decided to join the World Championship speech contest, not to win, but to force myself to take the stories I already had and make them great. I wanted to move my audience and be more memorable. I wanted to be so good that I would get more paid speeches through referrals.

I found great coaches, but what I really wanted was a process for creating great stories. I wanted to know what to leave in and what to leave out. What to do to breathe life into my stories. How about you?
Within the next 5 minutes, you can access the most comprehensive, video-based storytelling system that guides you to become the speaker others can’t wait to see.

You can have it all INSTANTLY on your desktop, phone, or tablet.
How would you like to keep your audience on the edge of their seats and hanging on your every word? Guess what? You can! However, it requires that you master the most important skill in public speaking, and that’s storytelling.
The good news is that once you grab hold of the right formula, you can become a storytelling master faster than you think!
But it takes so long to master storytelling, right? Trial and error could be so frustrating that you might give up on achieving mastery, but our long road can lead to your shortcut!

You may have heard World Champion Speaker Craig Valentine tell his story:

“Many years ago an organization in Michigan hired me to speak to a group of 300 employees. They paid me $3,500, scooped me up in a stretch limo, took me to a 5-star hotel, and wined and dined me. How did I repay them? By giving them a $150 speech.

That’s right, I failed miserably. When I finished, the woman who had bragged about me and convinced the powers to hire me would not even look me in the eye. I have never heard from them again. However, today my rehire rate exceeds 89%, and that day in Michigan is far behind me.”

What Made the Difference?

Well, after many years, thousands upon thousands of dollars spent, and many severe failures, Craig eventually uncovered a FORMULA for creating spellbinding stories from scratch. This formula has changed Craig’s speaking destiny and mine and can certainly do the same for you.

It could take you years and cost you a fortune (like it did for us) to figure out just the right combination that makes some stories work while others fall flat.

Or, instead of knocking yourself out trying to come up with a winning story, you could adopt our special 9-STEP FORMULA (and an additional 101 storytelling secrets) revealed in our brand new VIDEO PROGRAM called,

Why do stories work?
No child being tucked into bed has ever asked, “Mommy, Daddy, can you show me a PowerPoint presentation?”

Instead, they want stories! Well, guess what? They are you. We grew up on stories, and that’s the way we make sense of life. It is part of who we are.

Can you recall any of the lessons you learned from stories when you were a child? Do you think they had an impact on your morals and maybe on your actions as well?

Stories rule the world, and now YOU can rule your stories. When you do, a whole new world of opportunities opens for you. I bet there are stories inside of you dying to be set free. You can set them free with this formula for storytelling success and find more you didn’t know you even had!
What is the difference between a good story and a great one?
The strangest feedback I ever got when working on my award-winning speech came from two seasoned speakers. They told me that the speech wasn’t good because they didn’t feel anything? What? Feel anything? Back then I thought they were crazy. Now I realize they were dead on. There is a big difference between a good story and a great, memorable one. Hollywood screen writing coach Michael Hague says,
"The purpose of a story is to elicit emotion."
Anyone can tell a story, but if you want your stories to have lasting impact and be memorable, you need to know the secrets for eliciting emotion. That’s not easy, but it can be simple when you know what to do.
But wait a minute Darren, I have your other programs. How is this different? Thank you for trusting me. Did you get lots of value from them? I hope they have helped you. Are a few of those concepts in this one, too? Yes. Those are universal principles. You will, however, see them from a different perspective. In my program, Create Your Keynote, we focused on structuring an entire speech. In Own the Stage we focused on taking a good speech and making it great.

In the Secrets of Storytelling program, you will see that we drive much deeper. It is all about the story. Secrets of Storytelling focuses on your story. Craig says, “If you want a masterpiece, you have to master the pieces.” That was why I joined the speech contest. I was lacking a proven process to follow for mastering my stories. This program gives you the important step-by-step process in its entirety. The reinforcement in a couple of places is an essential part of mastery.

What if I have Craig’s original storytelling audio course?
How is this course different? There are 5 major differences between his past course and this brand new one.
Difference-Maker #1 - Witness the Construction
With his earlier audio course, you listened to completed stories that were already polished and built. While it’s great to have those examples, there's only one problem. You never got to see where those stories were at their beginning. In this course, you will literally see six VIPs build their stories right in front of you. Seeing the entire process is sure to enlighten you.

I remember watching speakers and thinking, “That’s a great story. I wonder how it was when he/she first told it. I wonder how that story came about. How did it grow into greatness?”

Wouldn’t it be helpful to see where a story was when it was still just an idea? And wouldn’t it be valuable to look at that story again once it is completely polished? Well, that’s what you get in this course.

But you don’t get just one story. You get 6 different stories by 6 different speakers. That’s right. In addition to the sample stories from Craig Valentine and me, you get to see 6 speakers’ stories from the very beginning. You can watch the stories evolve step-by-step with the tools, formulas, and model that you too can use to develop your own superb stories.
Difference-Maker #2 - You Can SEE It
Words are important in storytelling, but, make no mistake about it, storytelling is a VISUAL art. That’s another difference between my original program and this one. This time it’s on VIDEO. You can . . .

• SEE the spaces between the lines
• Experience what it means to really use the stage
• See how what’s NOT said often speaks louder than what IS said
• Perfect the often ill-pursued combination of narration/dialogue
• SEE how to use your delivery to make, not break, the story
Difference-Maker #3 - The 5 New Extra Tools
In addition to the 15 hours of video training, the 103-page “Storytelling Guide,” and the 101 extra storytelling secrets, you get an INTERACTIVE STORYTELLING TOOLKIT that includes the following 5 story-building tools:

• My Story File (This will help you build and organize your story inventory.)
• My Foundational Phrase File (This will help you organize repeatable golden phrases.)
• My Story Builder (This will help you build each story.)
• My Skeletal Story (This will help you get clear on each story.)
• My Character Diagram (This will help you bring your characters to life.)

These tools will serve you and your audiences forever. They are absolutely necessary if you want to be a top-rate storyteller who commands high speaking fees. The best part about the tools is that you can actually type into each PDF to develop every story you create. These tools alone could be worth much more than the price of the program.

With this interactive Storytelling Toolkit, you will feel as if you were there with us for that special weekend when we filmed the program.
Difference-Maker #4 - There Are 2 World Champions This Time
This time I joined Craig. You’ll get my insights on the 9Cs. We are not alone. We are joined by speakers who have expertise in many different areas. What you learn from the combination of Craig, the active participants, and me will help you make your next story the best you’ve ever told.
Difference-Maker #5 - You Get to SEE 18 More Bonus Stories
That’s right. In addition to the 6 stories from the 6 speakers, you also get 18 bonus stories from Craig Valentine, Ed Tate (2000 World Champion of Public Speaking), and me. Being able to watch these extra stories and identify the winning tools we used will help you naturally and automatically integrate them into your stories.
Do You Like Results?
Take a look at some of the results speakers have gained from Craig’s 9 Cs of Storytelling model over the past few years, and then understand that this new program is like the first one on steroids!

“I have applied the 9Cs to my previous speech, and it was mind blowing.”
- Lee Chen Choon

Public Speaking Coach, Malaysia
“I can practically recite the whole Storytelling programme. I have become a MUCH better speaker than I was before your programme! I owe you a debt of gratitude.”
- Erich Viedge, IPDG

District 74, Southern Africa
“To be frank, it is not what I expected. It far surpasses the expectations I had! I’m completely blown away by the info. The Storytelling Compass guides you through the process of crafting your stories.”
- Tim Zager
Corporate Entertainer
“Of all the books, CDs, and videos I've purchased through the years on the subject of public speaking, this course gets down to the 'how' and 'why' better than any of them. I don't like saying strong words like ‘Revolutionary,’but I personally haven't seen anything like this. Very impressive. Thank you.”
- Roy Bowen
"Craig, thanks. I got my home study course in the mail. EXCELLENT! I spent tons of money on materials to improve my speaking business, and nothing compares to this."
- Edward DeJesus, Founder and President,

Youth Development and Research Fund
“Using your Storytelling home study course made the difference between getting lukewarm reviews and raving fans. That is because I can connect with an audience at a visceral level now. Thank you!”
- Croix Sather
Speaker, Author of Dream Big Act Big
“I have your storytelling series of tapes and feel it was the most valuable information, presented in the most engaging style, and right on the mark that I have ever heard. I’ve heard many speakers and storytellers, but you are the best. (I’ve been around storytellers for a long time and have served in the past on the Board for the Tejas Storytellers, so this compliment is not given lightly.)”
- Barb Petsel, LPC, MS, RN

Licensed Professional Counsel
“I was able to deliver two 45-minute+ keynotes during a two-hour block at a local organization’s seminar this morning. As I read the testimonial cards, I can't help but choke back the tears as person after person expressed their deepest thanks for and personal impact of the presentations. On top of that, I hold the FIRST check in my hand for speaking ‘professionally’! Your training has made it possible; thank you for helping us follow our dreams of helping people.”
- Wil Fedew

“The Storytelling Compass is the best tool I’ve ever used in speech creation/improvement. I’ve gone through the program twice. The compass helps me tear the speech apart, reconstruct it following your format, and create a much more powerful and audience-focused speech. The Compass alone is worth at least 50 times what I paid for the program.”
- Michael R Davis, CFP, CLTC,
Orange Financial/Lifetime Financial Growth of Ohio

"Oh my word! I just finished watching part 1 of the Storytelling workshop. There is so much information packed into that one part, I'll need to watch it three more times before I can move on to part 2!  I have had aspirations to be a public speaker for years but allowed life to interfer. Now is my time and this course is so helpful in structuring my speeches. Attending an actual event has got to be mind blowing!"
- Setma Maddox
In addition to the proven 9-Step Storytelling Model, you’ll
pick up 101 extra little-known Storytelling Secrets such as . . .

  • “The more you work on a story, the shorter it should get.”
  • "Speak like you talk, not like you write."
  • "Your preactions set up your reactions."
  • "You need to set up your letdown."
  • "Turn their pain into your promise."
  • And at least 96 more
What do you mean by the 103-Page Interactive Workbook?
Years ago I had the great pleasure of sharing the stage with the late, great Charlie “Tremendous” Jones, and he gave me advice regarding my audience that I will never forget. He said,
“Don’t get them to listen and memorize; get them to think and realize.”
When you travel through a comprehensive program such as the Secrets of Storytelling, you need a way to capture your notes but also your thoughts. In other words, new ideas and stories and breakthroughs will come to you on a regular basis.

We’ve provided you with an interactive PDF workbook guide where you can literally type in your notes, thoughts, and stories along with your realizations. Plus, you can do the same with the 5 additional PDFs in the “Storytelling Toolkit.” You have to capture your genius before you can share it.

In just the first hour of this program, you’ll get answers to the major storytelling challenges, such as . . .
  • Where can I find my compelling personal stories?
  • How do I establish and deepen my connection with my audience?
  • How can I make my stories shorter and have more of an impact?
  • How can I deliver my stories so that the audience really feels the emotions?
  • What can I do if my story is not working?
Chances are you may have a challenge that Craig and I will address in the first hour of this program. If so, there’s a good chance that you’ll have a breakthrough before we even dive into the Storytelling model. If not, don’t worry. There are 14 more hours! SEE for yourself.
"I now deliver better presentations in 20 minutes than I did in 60 minutes; moreover, my closing ratio has increased 350% thanks to the lessons learned in The Storytelling Home-Study Course. Craig's 9-Step Formula has changed my life."
- Kevin D. Gross, MBA
President, Alumni Connection
Okay, so what’s the cost of this priceless program?
You probably realize that if you searched for this information on your own, it would likely cost you thousands upon thousands of dollars and several years of trial and error and STILL would not be laid out in one tight, step-by-step, immediately usable system. You get 2 decades of storytelling experience and coaching distilled into this one program. That’s value.

Also, if you got coached in a LIVE Storytelling workshop, you’d likely pay between $1,500 and $3,000 just to improve ONE story. If you went to a speech coach (like me), you’d probably pay more than that.

With the Secrets of Storytelling program, you get more than one great story; you get the PROCESS to create more great stories! And the best part is that you get to keep this proven storytelling BLUEPRINT for the rest of your speaking life. But we’re not going to charge you anywhere near $3,000 or even $1,500. In fact, your total investment for the Secrets of Storytelling video course is $497.
You will take what you learn from this program on stage with you every time you present for the rest of your career. You invest once and get a return on your investment forever.

Is this program worth it? Hear what Mark Vickers, one of the professional speakers whom you will meet in this program (a VIP who invested $2,500 to be there), had this to say about the value he got:

“My wife called me and asked if it was worth the investment. I said that in the first four hours I got more than my investment!”
- Mark Vickers
Professional Speaker and Trainer
“You helped me to see how important my message on meth is for audiences to hear and instilled in me the belief that I can really change lives with my speaking."
- Bonnie Laabs
